Skadden Welcomes Drew Barber as Partner in Boston M&A Practice

Most recently, Mr. Barber served as senior vice president and general counsel of a multinational aerospace and defense company, where he oversaw strategic acquisitions and managed a team of approximately 1,000 professionals. In that role he negotiated major commercial transactions and litigation settlements with key customers and suppliers and advised executive leaders on critical business and legal risks.
He joins Skadden’s M&A practice as a partner, focusing on advising clients across industries on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, as well as corporate governance and other corporate and securities law matters. Mr. Barber has extensive experience handling complex public and private mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, carve-outs and strategic partnerships, and has counseled clients in aerospace and defense, manufacturing, technology, financial services and real estate.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Barber was an associate at Skadden, where he advised clients on M&A, capital markets, corporate governance and general corporate and securities matters.
