Kirkland & Ellis Welcomes Christopher Peponis to Energy and Infrastructure Practice

Mr. Peponis has nearly 20 years of energy industry experience in both in-house roles and private practice, advising sponsors and developers across all phases of energy and infrastructure projects. He has a particular focus on energy transition, decarbonization, gas and renewable energy projects and leverages extensive LNG and maritime experience. Mr. Peponis has a chemical engineering background and began his career at Shell, working in Australia, Canada, Europe and the U.S. as a process engineer, commodity trader and in-house counsel. He has been consistently recognized by Chambers USA in Projects: LNG and was named a Project Finance Rising Star by Law360 in 2023. He joins Kirkland from Latham & Watkins, where he was a partner.
