Ms. King brings a distinguished record in trademark law and global brand protection, with experience spanning the full trademark lifecycle. Her practice encompasses high-stakes litigation and complex disputes before federal district courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
A former U.S. Patent and Trademark Office examiner, Ms. King evaluated thousands of marks and has deep familiarity with the technical complexities of trademark examination. She has served as lead counsel in significant trademark matters, including an infringement suit for the University of Houston that resulted in a federal injunction and a favorable settlement. Ms. King has held leadership roles in the profession as the first non-STEM president of the Houston Intellectual Property Law Association and as the founder of the USPTO Trademark Prosecution Clinic at the University of Houston Law Center. Her recognitions include listings in The Best Lawyers in America, Managing IP Stars, and the World Trademark Review Top 1000. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and South Texas College of Law.
