Hogan Lovells welcomes Xin Tao as partner in Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology in Washington, D.C.
"Hogan Lovells has reappointed Xin Tao as a partner in its Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology practice in Washington, D.C.; he will work on life sciences regulatory compliance and cross‑border transactions, with emphasis on China and the Asia‑Pacific region."
Xin returns from Baker McKenzie, where he served as chair of the U.S. Healthcare and Life Sciences Regulatory practice. He joins Hogan Lovells as a partner with nearly 15 years of experience advising life sciences, food, consumer platform, and technology companies and investors on global compliance and transactions, particularly for clients headquartered in China or expanding across the Asia‑Pacific region. A former research scientist, Xin’s practice spans pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food, cosmetics, and consumer technology. He also has experience navigating U.S. and EU regulatory systems and has represented international companies in high‑stakes U.S. government investigations and proceedings involving the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Federal Trade Commission, and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Xin previously spent more than nine years at Hogan Lovells before his most recent role at Baker McKenzie.
