Youandlaw names Jacobo Velilla Head of Tax

Velilla brings over ten years of experience in tax law, specialising in family business taxation, private clients and the real estate sector. He has advised domestic and international companies, investment funds, family groups and high-net-worth individuals. He joins Youandlaw in the senior role of Head of Tax.
He will lead Youandlaw's newly established tax advisory practice, which is designed to integrate with the firm's existing practice areas. The practice’s remit covers wealth planning for individuals and companies, investment and divestment processes, corporate and asset restructurings, succession planning, family protocols, M&A transactions, remuneration scheme design and broader corporate operations. The team will also assist clients in tax inspections and administrative proceedings with a technical and decision-oriented approach.
Velilla holds an academic post as an associate professor at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and has a double Master's degree in Legal Practice and Tax Advisory from IE Law School, as well as a law degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
