BSVA Studio Legale Associato strengthens criminal practice with partner Silvia Martina

Silvia Martina provides litigation and extrajudicial advice to Italian and international clients, both natural persons and legal entities. She has experience in the main areas of economic criminal law, including corporate, tax and customs offences, bankruptcy, environmental offences, workplace safety and offences against the Public Administration.
Martina has consolidated expertise in assisting companies involved in proceedings concerning corporate liability under Legislative Decree 231/2001 and in corporate compliance activities, with particular reference to the prevention and mitigation of crime risks. In this context she follows the preparation and updating of Organization and Management Models and serves as a member of Supervisory Bodies. She regularly conducts internal investigations, including preventive defensive inquiries, and manages whistleblowing reports.
She holds positions including Secretary of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the International Bar Association, member of the Italian Association for Transparency and Anti-Corruption and Secretary of the Criminal Justice Commission of the Milan Bar Association. Previously a researcher in Advanced Criminal Procedure at the University of Milan, she is the author of publications and a regular speaker at conferences in Italy and abroad on white collar crime, anti-corruption, compliance and artificial intelligence, with annual invitations from the New York City Bar Association and the American Bar Association, Tax Section.
