Vinson & Elkins Adds Four Partners to Corporate Practice in Denver and Washington, D.C.

Keith Trammell joins Vinson & Elkins as a partner in the corporate practice, based in Denver and also working from the firm’s New York office. He counsels public companies, private equity funds, special committees, investors and privately held companies on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and capital markets matters. His experience includes leading the Nordstrom family’s take‑private of Nordstrom, Inc., representing Vail Resorts in its acquisitions of 22 U.S. ski resorts, and guiding Regal Entertainment Group through its sale to a U.K. cinema conglomerate. Trammell’s clients include middle‑market private equity funds, hotel companies and companies in the technology, energy, industrials and aerospace sectors. He is a two‑time Law Week Colorado Lawyer of the Year (2018, 2021) and is ranked Band 1 by Chambers USA in Corporate/M&A (Colorado, 2018–2025). He joins from WilmerHale.
Chalyse Robinson joins Vinson & Elkins as a finance partner in Denver, also working from the New York office. She guides public and private companies, private equity sponsors and portfolio companies on debt financings and capital markets transactions, including syndicated credit facilities, private credit and direct lending financings. Robinson has represented national and international companies and private equity funds across industries including energy and natural resources, oil and gas, mining, financial services, technology, entertainment, retail, healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing and real estate. She is ranked Band 1 by Chambers USA in Banking & Finance (Colorado, 2021–25). She joins from WilmerHale.
David Strong joins Vinson & Elkins as a tax partner in Denver, also working from the New York office. He advises on the tax aspects of domestic and cross‑border mergers and acquisitions, spin‑offs and restructurings, partnerships and joint ventures, and private equity and venture capital investments. Strong also advises on tax issues in capital markets transactions, including syndicated credit facilities, mezzanine and bridge loans, early‑stage venture financings, initial public offerings and convertible debt offerings. Alex Bahn joins Vinson & Elkins as a corporate partner in the Washington, D.C. office.
