Namrata Bhagwatula and Aneesh Gupte have joined Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. as Partners in the Firm's General Corporate Practice in Mumbai.

Namrata Bhagwatula brings over 11 years of experience in private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments and general corporate advisory. She has advised on a wide range of high-value and complex transactions across sectors including renewable energy, healthcare, technology and telecom, and has worked closely with multinational and Indian clients, including private equity funds, multilateral and development finance institutions and venture capital investors. Namrata holds a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) from Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur. She joins SAM as a Partner from her prior role as Counsel at Trilegal in New Delhi.

Aneesh Gupte has extensive experience in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, private equity investments, venture capital and early-stage investments, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, restructuring and general corporate law. He advises a diverse client base including large domestic companies, multinational corporations, private equity firms, venture capital funds and start-ups. Aneesh is a Solicitor from the Bombay Incorporated Law Society (2009), holds an LL.B. from the University of Mumbai (2006) and is a qualified Company Secretary (2007). He joins SAM as a Partner from his prior position as a Partner at Desai & Diwanji.
