Gregg D. Polsky Joins Gunster as Of Counsel
"Gunster has hired tax scholar Gregg D. Polsky as Of Counsel to strengthen its tax practice; he will advise on corporate and partnership taxation, executive compensation, private equity and related tax matters."
Polsky advises clients on complex, high-stakes tax matters, helping them identify and manage risk, navigate regulatory complexity and resolve disputes. His practice spans corporate and partnership taxation, choice-of-entity planning, executive and equity compensation, private equity and investment fund taxation, tax issues arising in divorce, and the taxation of litigation settlements and recoveries. He joins Gunster in the seniority role of Of Counsel.
Polsky’s perspective is informed by more than 25 years teaching federal income tax law at leading law schools, his service as professor in residence at the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, and his experience as a practicing tax lawyer. Since 2024 he has served as a professor of practice in New York University School of Law’s graduate tax program, and he was previously a tenured law professor at the University of Georgia, the University of North Carolina and Florida State University. He is a fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel and has written extensively for academic law reviews and professional tax publications.
