Cases Lacambra hires Fernando Gutiérrez as partner

Gutiérrez joins Cases Lacambra from Bird & Bird and previously worked at Dentons. He enters the firm as a partner.
Gutiérrez brings over twenty years of experience with a highly specialized practice in financial regulation and debt matters. He has extensive experience advising credit institutions, investment services firms, insurance companies, asset managers, payment institutions, electronic money institutions and crypto-asset service providers on complex matters including structural modifications, authorizations, fund establishment (UCITS, AIFM and securitization) and international expansion through European passports.
His regulatory expertise is complemented by advisory work on complex financing transactions. Throughout his career he has advised both lenders and borrowers on real estate, project, corporate, asset and LBO transactions, as well as refinancings and debt issuances, including guarantee structures in international contexts.
Beyond his practice, Gutiérrez has served as board secretary for numerous companies, including listed companies and supervised entities, and as a director of public and private companies. He has also combined practice with teaching, having been a professor of Commercial Law at Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and collaborating with various academic institutions.
