McGuireWoods Adds Tax Partner Andrew A. Chan to San Francisco Office

Chan brings extensive experience advising private investment funds and their sponsors on business tax matters. He guides clients through fund formation and structuring, sponsor liquidity transactions and sponsor-level economic planning. He also advises on tax considerations arising from mergers and acquisitions, credit facilities and a wide variety of other business transactions, and represents investors in connection with private investment funds.
He joins McGuireWoods from Kirkland & Ellis and will practice in the firm’s tax and fund formation areas, focusing on sponsor-side tax planning and related business tax matters. His arrival continues McGuireWoods’ West Coast expansion and enhances the firm’s ability to serve clients across the private equity and fund formation landscape.
