"Cases Lacambra hires Fernando Gutiérrez Rizaldos as a partner in its financial services practice to lead regulatory and funds work in Spain; he brings 20+ years in financial regulation and debt advisory."
Gutiérrez Rizaldos brings more than twenty years of experience in financial regulation and debt advisory. His practice covers a wide range of regulated entities — including credit institutions, investment services firms, insurers, fund managers, payment institutions, electronic money institutions and crypto-asset service providers — and focuses on matters such as structural modifications, authorisations, fund formation (UCITS, AIFM and securitisation vehicles) and cross-border expansion through European passporting.
Alongside his regulatory work, he has advised both lenders and borrowers on complex financing transactions, including real estate, project finance, corporate, asset-based and leveraged buyout deals, as well as refinancings and debt issuances involving international security structures.
He has served as board secretary for numerous companies, including listed companies and supervised entities, and has held board positions at both public and private firms. In addition to his legal practice, Gutiérrez Rizaldos has taught commercial law at Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and has collaborated with other academic institutions.
