Jeannil Boji has joined Akerman’s Labor and Employment Practice Group as a partner in the firm’s Chicago office.

Boji brings more than 18 years of experience advising companies, financial institutions and high-net-worth individuals on complex and sensitive workplace matters. She is described as a trusted adviser to clients ranging from Fortune 50 companies to fintech and trading firms, as well as high-profile executives facing urgent and nuanced employment issues. Her work emphasizes proactive, strategic counseling to prevent disputes from escalating, along with advocacy when litigation is required.

Her practice covers a broad range of employment issues, including noncompete and trade secret matters; workplace privacy and technology concerns; whistleblower and retaliation claims; and challenges related to remote work and the gig economy. She is experienced in conducting sensitive workplace investigations, managing internal compliance matters, and advising on executive hiring, transitions and separations.

When matters proceed to litigation, Boji acts as an advocate in federal and state courts nationwide, handling injunctions involving restrictive covenants, trade secret misappropriation and unfair competition.
