Willeman Advogados appoints Rodrigo Zambão as partner to strengthen public law practice
"Willeman Advogados has appointed Rodrigo Zambão as a partner in its public law practice, where he will work on strategic litigation and advisory services."
Zambão is a State Attorney for Rio de Janeiro since 2006 and has held prominent positions in public administration, including that of State Attorney General. He has also served as an advisor to a justice of the Federal Supreme Court. He will work in the firm’s public law practice, expanding its capabilities in strategic litigation and advisory services. Zambão holds a master’s degree in Public Law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and is a doctoral candidate in Regulatory Law at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation. He is active in academia as coordinator of the Graduate Program at the Higher School of Public Advocacy and as a visiting professor at institutions including the School of Magistrates of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Emerj), the National School of Magistrates (ENM), FGV Rio, the Roberto Bernardes Barroso Institute of Education of the Rio de Janeiro State Public Prosecutor’s Office (IERBB/MPRJ), and CEPED at UERJ.
Zambão joins Willeman Advogados from the Rio de Janeiro State Attorney’s Office, where he has served as a State Attorney since 2006 and held the role of State Attorney General.
The appointment occurs amid an institutional reorganization at Willeman Advogados. Founder Flávio de Araújo Willeman has taken a leave of absence from the firm to assume the leadership of the Rio de Janeiro State Chief of Staff’s Office during the current interim administration led by the President of the Court of Justice, Ricardo Couto de Castro. This temporary change does not affect the firm’s operations, which continue under the leadership of the other partners.
