Bevan Brittan appoints Perveen Akhter as partner to bolster construction and infrastructure practice

Akhter joins Bevan Brittan from Freeths, where she served as Head of Construction and Engineering in Birmingham. She brings a 20-year career advising private and public sector clients, specialising in drafting and amending building and engineering contracts. She also advises on consultant appointments, warranties, bonds and guarantees, development and funding agreements, agreements for leases, novation agreements and other ancillary project documentation. Akhter has particular expertise in the energy sector and has advised on developments related to solar, battery storage, wind and carbon capture. She is recognised in the Legal 500 as a Leading Individual in Construction and as a Leading Partner.
