Jason McCullough Joins Wiley as Partner in White Collar Defense & Government Investigations Practice
"Jason McCullough has joined Wiley as a partner in its White Collar Defense & Government Investigations Practice, focusing on national-security-related and complex white-collar enforcement matters."
McCullough is a former federal prosecutor and trial lawyer with the U.S. Department of Justice who brings two decades of public- and private-sector experience focused on complex criminal and civil enforcement matters. He joins Wiley at the partner level.
Prior to joining Wiley, McCullough served in senior leadership roles within the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia, including as a lead prosecutor and supervisor in complex, high-profile investigations and trials. His work there encompassed politically sensitive national security matters involving terrorism, foreign influence, and complex conspiracies; he was recognized with honors including the Attorney General's Award for Extraordinary Contributions and the Assistant Attorney General Award for Excellence in Prosecution.
Before his tenure at the U.S. Attorney's Office, McCullough served as a trial attorney in the DOJ's National Security Division, where he investigated and prosecuted matters involving export controls and sanctions, economic espionage, cyber-enabled threats, and foreign influence operations, including investigations implicating the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) across sectors such as defense, manufacturing, and higher education.
Earlier in his career, McCullough worked in private practice representing multinational corporations and individuals in criminal and civil matters before DOJ, the SEC, and FINRA, and handling global investigations, compliance reviews, and related civil litigation.
At Wiley he will advise on white-collar defense, internal investigations, crisis management, compliance matters, and parallel criminal and civil proceedings, enhancing the firm’s capability to counsel clients facing high-stakes enforcement and regulatory scrutiny.
