Holland & Knight adds Partner Shira A. Selengut to Executive Compensation and Benefits team in New York

Ms. Selengut’s practice focuses primarily on the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), employee benefits and executive compensation. She regularly advises financial institutions, private equity sponsors and investment funds on ERISA plan asset, fiduciary responsibility and prohibited transaction rules. Her experience also includes advising public and private companies and private equity firms on the design and implementation of annual and long-term incentive plans, equity and equity-based compensation arrangements, employment and separation agreements, and severance and retention programs. She also counsels clients on the tax implications of compensation structures and on the application of securities laws, labor and employment laws, and other laws governing hiring, workforce reduction and restrictive covenants.
Ms. Selengut joins Holland & Knight as a partner, having been a partner at Katten Muchin Rosenmann LLP. She earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and her B.S. from Rutgers Business School.
