Vinson & Elkins adds London-based Tax partner Ed Moberly to Transactions practice

Moberly is a transactions-focused tax lawyer with significant experience advising clients on private equity, M&A, joint ventures, fund formations, restructurings and complex financings, as well as selected contentious tax matters and investigations. He has advised on many multi-billion euro investments across industries including digital infrastructure, energy, mobile gaming, retail, sports, consumer products and health care.
His background includes senior roles at leading global law firms and in‑house experience on secondment at the private equity firm KKR, giving him insight into deal strategy, investment structuring and the commercial drivers behind complex transactions. Moberly joins Vinson & Elkins from Kirkland & Ellis International LLP, where he was a partner in that firm’s Tax practice; he is entering Vinson & Elkins with the seniority of partner.
