Weil, Gotshal & Manges Welcomes Partner Sara Allawi to Private Funds Group

Sara advises global private equity sponsors and asset managers on the formation, structuring and negotiation of investment funds. She has counseled sponsors across every stage of a fund’s lifecycle and a diverse range of strategies, including buyout, credit, real estate, venture, secondaries and infrastructure. She also has experience representing institutional investors and assisting clients with strategic co‑investments, separately managed accounts and upper‑tier arrangements. She joins Weil as a partner.
Allawi joins from Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where she was a partner in the firm’s Investment Funds practice in New York. Her background also includes serving as Associate Corporate Counsel at Franklin Templeton and foundational experience at Sands Capital Management, along with other private practice roles.
