Ashley Chung Joins Winston & Strawn in Chicago

Chung joins Winston & Strawn from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois, where she served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and held the role of Deputy Chief of Appeals. In that capacity she prosecuted more than 50 matters, including public corruption, financial fraud, money laundering, child exploitation and violent crime cases, overseeing strategy from the investigative stage through charging, pretrial litigation, plea negotiations or trials, and sentencings.
Prior to her public service, Chung worked on complex commercial litigation, white-collar and regulatory-facing matters, and internal investigations. She will enter Winston & Strawn at partner level, bringing her appellate and courtroom experience to the firm’s litigation and appellate practices.
