Duplá Marín holds a PhD in law from the University of Barcelona and is a professor at ESADE Law School. Her academic work concentrates on succession law, family law, conflict management, mediation and negotiation. She has held several institutional roles, including membership of the reform commission of the statutes of FC Barcelona (2010–2013), service as a substitute judge at the Audiencia Provincial de Lleida (2018–2021), and membership of the plenary of the Catalan Civil Law Codification Commission of the Generalitat de Catalunya (2018–2025). In recent years her work has focused on family wealth law, succession compliance, estate planning, risk management and governance, and the legal implications of the new disability and support framework. She also leads the Conflict Management research group, recognised by the Catalan government.
