A leading Silicon Valley attorney, Pahlavan focuses his corporate practice on advising emerging companies and the investors who back them, including venture capital funds, private equity firms, and public and private portfolio companies. His deal work spans special purpose acquisition company (SPAC)-related M&A and acquisitions with private equity and strategic buyers. He also advises clients in corporate finance and intellectual property transactions and has deep experience in investment fund formation. Pahlavan serves corporate clients navigating cross-border transactions and public market activity, counsels private equity sponsors and portfolio companies, and has worked on transactions with billions in aggregate value, helping companies obtain their first institutional round and recruit CEOs to drive scaling and future fundraising. Sovereign wealth funds have relied on him to establish investment structures domestically and internationally. He also advises companies and their boards on strategies for "bet-the-company" litigation.
Pahlavan joins Dorsey from Perkins Coie LLP, where he was a partner. He received his J.D. from University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, and his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
