DLA Piper welcomes associate Trevor Simpson
"DLA Piper has hired Trevor Simpson as an associate in its Securities and Capital Markets group in Vancouver, where he will work on corporate finance, securities compliance and mining and natural resources transactions."
Trevor advises clients on a broad range of cross-border and domestic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, stock exchange listing transactions and other corporate finance matters, representing both issuers and financial institutions. He also advises on ongoing securities law and stock exchange compliance and corporate governance matters. Trevor has extensive experience in the mining and natural resources sector, where he regularly structures and negotiates complex transactions. His prior experience includes serving as general counsel for a venture capital company, where he was responsible for legal aspects of transactions, operations, compliance, corporate governance, M&A, investments, joint ventures, financings and other projects. Trevor received his Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia.
