DLA Piper expands Asia corporate capabilities with partners Sherlyn Lau and Charles Ching

Sherlyn Lau joins DLA Piper as a senior Equity Capital Markets partner. Recognised as one of Hong Kong’s most respected Emerging Capital Markets lawyers, she brings nearly 20 years of experience advising on Hong Kong IPOs, secondary fundraisings, mergers and acquisitions, pre-IPO investment and listing compliance matters. Her arrival, together with a large and experienced team of capital markets professionals, enhances DLA Piper’s Hong Kong ECM bench and expands its capabilities in navigating Mainland China and Hong Kong regulatory frameworks.
Charles Ching joins DLA Piper as a senior Private Equity and M&A partner. He focuses on representing global sponsors in complex acquisitions, carve-outs, privatizations and portfolio company matters, with particular strength in cross-border Asia–US and Asia–Europe transactions. His sector experience includes technology, healthcare and energy transition. Charles is regularly recognised by leading legal directories, including Chambers and Legal 500, and has been included multiple times in China Business Law Journal’s “Visionaries” list.
