Deloitte Legal adds Michela Turra as of counsel
"Michela Turra joins Deloitte Legal as of counsel in the Litigation & Arbitration team, strengthening its Product Safety & Compliance work with expertise in product liability, ESG and climate litigation."
Turra brings more than 20 years of experience in the management of complex civil litigation, having advised national and international clients in sectors including energy, utilities and aviation. Specialised in product liability, she has defended economic operators across multiple product sectors, including in serial litigation and collective and mass actions.
Before joining Deloitte Legal, Turra worked for about 19 years at Gianni & Origoni, where she served as Counsel from 2022 and founded the Product Safety & Compliance practice, recognised internationally. In that capacity she provided regulatory advice both at product launch (including authorisations, certifications, labelling and packaging) and in crisis management, handling recalls and withdrawals and conducting internal investigations related to production and control processes. She also represents clients in investigations opened by supervisory authorities and in related litigation across sectors such as tobacco, toys and childcare articles, machinery, electronic devices, cosmetics, textiles, construction, automotive, supplements and food products. Turra’s work also covers consumer matters, from drafting contractual terms and conventional guarantees to managing disputes over unfair commercial practices.
Turra is active on ESG topics with a focus on supply chain issues, the use of claims and greenwashing, and on climate litigation—in particular PFAS and microplastics—areas of growing relevance in international dispute resolution.
Francesco Bello, managing partner of Deloitte Legal, said Turra’s arrival further strengthens the firm’s litigation department and allows Deloitte Legal to offer clients a new full-service capability in Product Safety & Compliance.
