Simmons & Simmons Paris welcomes Professor Thomas Le Gueut as Of Counsel
"Professor Thomas Le Gueut joins Simmons & Simmons Paris as Of Counsel to support work across civil and commercial litigation, corporate law and finance, drawing on his expertise in private, banking and finance law."
A Professor of Private Law at the University of Montpellier and an agrégé in private law, Le Gueut holds a doctorate in law from Paris II Panthéon-Assas University and is a qualified French lawyer (CAPA, "Jean-Louis Debré" year). He has taught at Université Grenoble Alpes and Université Sorbonne Paris Nord, co‑heads the Banking and Finance Law Master's programme at the University of Montpellier and leads the DJCE corporate law certificate courses.
Le Gueut will support the firm's teams on a cross‑practice basis, working across civil and commercial litigation, corporate law and finance to assist with the firm's most complex matters and to enhance their legal and strategic quality.
Admitted to the Paris Bar since 2018, Thomas Le Gueut previously practised with Veil Jourde and then Simon Associés before joining Simmons & Simmons.
