Harvey hires Omar Puertas from Cuatrecasas

Puertas spent 25 years at Cuatrecasas, where he developed a career focused on international arbitration and, more recently, artificial intelligence in the legal sector. He joined Cuatrecasas in 2000 in Barcelona and played a key role in the firm’s international expansion.
In 2007 Puertas relocated to Shanghai to launch Cuatrecasas’s first Asia office and served as managing partner of that office until 2019. During his time there he advised on cross-border disputes and investments across Asia, Europe and Latin America. Reflecting on his departure, Puertas said on LinkedIn that he had spent 25 years at Cuatrecasas and that joining Harvey brought together his two passions, law and technology.
