The Pavia firm, which operates across Italy, counts 21 professionals, including 6 partners, 8 junior collaborators and 10 staff.
Settembre, an avvocato cassazionista, joins GPL in the capacity of collaborator. He comes from PwC Tax, where in recent years he served as of counsel. Previously he gained experience at leading national and international firms, including the legal and tax advisory practices within the KPMG and PwC networks and at Pirola Pennuto Zei, assisting banks and insurance companies.
His areas of specialization are tax litigation and refund procedures, with particular reference to cases involving non-resident taxpayers and allegations of discrimination in light of EU case law. He also works on international taxation, focusing on the application of double taxation conventions and EU Directives.
In addition to his legal practice, Settembre is a published journalist and contributor to Il Sole 24 Ore, a lecturer for Formez PA training courses addressed to personnel of the Italian Revenue Agency and for the Alma Laboris Master in advanced tax matters, and an external observer of the Tax Litigation Commission of the ODCEC of Milan.
