Elise Kostial joins Jones Day’s Issues & Appeals Practice as an associate. She clerked for Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr. and graduated from Yale Law School. Prior to her Supreme Court clerkship, Ms. Kostial served as a judicial clerk to Hon. Gregory G. Katsas of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit (2023–2024) and to Hon. William H. Pryor, Jr., of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit (2022–2023).
Kari M. Lorentson joins Jones Day’s Issues & Appeals Practice as an associate. She clerked for Justice Amy Coney Barrett and graduated from Notre Dame Law School. Prior to her Supreme Court clerkship, Ms. Lorentson was an associate at a law firm in Washington, D.C. (2021–2024) and previously served as a judicial clerk to Hon. Michael Y. Scudder, Jr., and Hon. Amy Coney Barrett of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit (2020–2021), and to Hon. Gerald J. Pappert of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania (2019–2020).
Seanhenry VanDyke joins Jones Day’s Issues & Appeals Practice as an associate. He clerked for Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh and graduated from Harvard Law School. Prior to his Supreme Court clerkship, Mr. VanDyke was an associate at a law firm in Virginia (2023–2024) and previously served as a judicial clerk to Hon. Gregory G. Katsas of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit (2022–2023) and to Hon. Andrew S. Oldham of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit (2021–2022).
Alexis Zhang joins Jones Day’s Issues & Appeals Practice as an associate. She clerked for Justice Clarence Thomas and graduated from Yale Law School. Prior to her Supreme Court clerkship, Ms. Zhang was an associate at Jones Day (2022–2024) and previously served as a judicial clerk to Hon. Gregory G. Katsas of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit (2021–2022) and to Hon. William H. Pryor, Jr., of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit (2020–2021).
