Jones Day strengthens Global Disputes Practice with partner Clive Luck in Perth

Mr. Luck brings more than 25 years of experience advising clients across all stages of the procurement and construction process, from contract documentation to risk management strategies and dispute resolution. His practice focuses on major engineering, infrastructure, resource, energy and energy transition projects in Australia and across numerous African and Asian countries. Notable engagements cited include advising a leading independent power producer on multifaceted energy transition solutions for a major global mining company across multiple Western Australian mining sites; advising one of the world’s largest gold producers on a USD 500 million gold mining project in West Africa; and representing major EPC contractors in relation to an AU$80 billion LNG project.
He joins Jones Day’s Global Disputes Practice as a partner. Mr. Luck has recognised credentials in both domestic and international arbitration and has acted in matters governed by UNCITRAL, LCIA, ICC, ACICA, AFSA, HKIAC and SIAC rules. At Jones Day he will work with a Global Disputes team of more than 200 lawyers located in over 25 business centres worldwide. His academic qualifications include a Master of Laws from Queensland University of Technology, a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies from Murdoch University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategy and Innovation from the University of Oxford, where he also completed the Advanced Management and Leadership Programme at Saïd Business School.
