Siegal joins Bracewell’s nationally recognized appellate team and brings expertise handling complex litigation before the United States courts of appeals and the Supreme Court, as well as federal trial courts and agencies. He has particular experience with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) matters and Administrative Procedure Act (APA) litigation, and his work spans the energy, infrastructure, life sciences, technology, financial services and transportation sectors. Siegal has argued and won cases before various courts of appeals, including technical FERC and other agency matters in the D.C. and Federal Circuits.
He joins Bracewell as a partner from Norton Rose Fulbright, where he served as deputy head of the appellate practice and hiring partner for the Washington, DC office. Siegal earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law, served as senior articles editor of the Northwestern University Law Review, received his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and clerked for the Honorable William J. Kayatta, Jr., of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
