Nathan Mitchell Joins Holland & Knight in Washington, D.C.

Nathan Mitchell has joined Holland & Knight in Washington, D.C., as a partner and will co-lead the firm’s CFIUS and Industrial Security Team.

Mitchell advises on a broad range of national security matters, including reviews by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and the Committee for the Assessment of Foreign Participation in the U.S. Telecommunications Services Sector (Team Telecom), as well as on U.S. export controls and economic sanctions. He counsels U.S. and foreign private equity sponsors and companies across various industries. He is joining Holland & Knight as a partner.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mitchell was a partner at Paul, Weiss. Earlier in his career he served as associate general counsel at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and as a staff attorney in the Foreign Investment Review Section of the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Security Division. He began his legal career as a lawyer for the U.S. Army in the Office of the Army General Counsel, holding both active duty and civilian positions.

Mitchell has been recognized by Chambers USA, The Legal 500 and Law360. He holds a J.D. from Boston College Law School and a B.A. from the University of Delaware.
