BLOMSTEIN Strengthens Team in Berlin and Brussels
"BLOMSTEIN hires senior lawyers Juliana Wimmer and Uğur Can Hekim to bolster its international trade and regulatory practice; Wimmer will focus on ESG, supply-chain compliance and LatAm matters, Uğur on trade defence, customs and WTO law."
Juliana Wimmer joins BLOMSTEIN as a senior lawyer. She focuses on ESG—particularly supply chain compliance and product sustainability—alongside international trade and public procurement. She brings extensive legislative, legal and strategic advisory experience from more than seven years in the German Bundestag, most recently serving as Chief of Staff to the Co-Chair of the parliamentary group of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen, where she oversaw complex legislative processes and provided strategic legal and political advice. Juliana studied law and holds a Master of Public Policy. As a German-Brazilian citizen and native Portuguese speaker with deep cultural insight into Brazil, she will play a central role in expanding BLOMSTEIN’s LatAm Desk.
Uğur Can Hekim joins BLOMSTEIN’s Brussels office as a senior international trade lawyer specialising in trade defence, customs and WTO law. He studied law at Galatasaray University, holds an LL.M. in International Economic Law from the University of Edinburgh and completed a degree in EU and International Law at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Before joining BLOMSTEIN he worked at leading international law firms in Brussels; his multi-jurisdictional litigation experience, analytical precision and understanding of global trade dynamics are highlighted as key strengths.
