CH Law – Chodraui e Hohl Advogados strengthens tax practice with two new partners
"CH Law – Chodraui e Hohl Advogados appoints Paulo Bento and Rômulo Ivan Menezes Oliveira as partners in its tax practice, expanding capabilities in tax planning, indirect taxes, litigation, M&A and tax compliance."
Paulo Bento joins the firm as a partner with more than 30 years of experience in Tax Law. He brings seniority, business acumen and extensive experience in highly complex transactions. During his career he served as partner and head of the tax practice at BMA – Barbosa Müssnich Aragão for approximately five years and spent over ten years as a partner at Cescon Barrieu. He has also been part of leading teams such as Machado Meyer Advogados and, most recently, practiced at Madrona Advogados prior to joining CH Law. His practice focuses on tax planning for local and cross-border transactions and wealth planning, covering a wide range of structures and transactions for publicly held and privately held companies, family groups and investment funds, including asset sales, joint ventures, business combinations, corporate restructurings, foreign investments and debt structures.
Rômulo Ivan Menezes Oliveira joins CH Law as a partner in the Tax practice with a focus on indirect taxes, administrative and judicial tax litigation, and experience in M&A and tax compliance. His background as a tax legal executive in multinational companies provides a practical perspective on managing tax risks and on the interface between legal, financial and business areas.
