Nixon Peabody hires international estate planning partner in Boston
"Nixon Peabody adds Ruth Mattson as a partner in its Boston office to the International Private Clients team, focusing on international estate planning and multinational estate administration."
A member of the firm’s International Private Clients team, Mattson focuses on international estate planning and multinational estate administration. They assist individuals, families, and closely held businesses with cross-border matters and complex tax compliance, including administering multinational estates, planning gifts across borders, and advising large family businesses on succession planning.
Mattson is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and an academician of the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law (TIAETL). They have served in leadership roles with the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners New England (STEP New England), and the Boston Estate Planning Council (BEPC). Mattson earned an LLM from Boston University School of Law, a JD from Temple University Beasley School of Law, and a BA from DePauw University. They have received the BEPC President’s Award and were recognized by Best Lawyers in America for Trusts and Estates and Tax Law in Massachusetts.
