Cao Miranda brings over two decades of top-tier litigation experience and a broad disputes practice rooted in complex commercial litigation, class actions and regulatory investigations. She specialises in advising clients active in highly regulated industries and sectors and has represented clients before the English courts and in other jurisdictions in contentious proceedings involving general commercial litigation, finance litigation, mass torts and parent company liability claims, investment fraud and breaches of competition law. She also has an established class actions and collective redress practice, representing defendants in mass tort and collective action claims across financial services and banking, technology, telecommunications, mining, natural resources and energy.
Cao Miranda joins Morrison Foerster as a partner from a London-based litigation boutique where she was partner. She was previously a partner at an international law firm for seven years, and from 2010 until 2016 served as managing director and senior counsel responsible for litigation and contentious regulatory proceedings for a major global financial institution. She holds an M.A. in history from the University of Cambridge, a GDL in Law from City University of London, completed the LPC with the College of Law, and is qualified to practise in England and Wales.
