Laura Alonso joins Ecija as a partner in the firm’s industrial property (IP) practice. She has advised leading international clients for years, including companies in the beverage, big tech, tobacco and football sectors. Throughout her career she has led strategies for the protection of trademark, design and domain name portfolios for major multinational groups and has defended iconic brands before the European Union Intellectual Property Office and the General Court of the European Union. She is actively involved in international organisations such as the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI). Alonso joins from Hoyng Rokh Monegier, where she served as a partner.
The incoming team consists of 12 specialised professionals who will strengthen Ecija’s industrial property capabilities and support the firm’s management and defence of clients’ intangible assets in increasingly complex and global markets.
