Goodwin Welcomes Michelle Blum to its Orange County Office
"Michelle Blum joins Goodwin as a partner in the Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice, strengthening the firm’s consumer financial services, data protection and consumer protection litigation capabilities."
Blum’s practice focuses on defending federal court Consumer Protection Act litigation and related actions under companion state laws. She also advises clients on Consumer Protection Act compliance and data security issues. She joins Goodwin at the partner level in the Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice.
Over nearly two decades, Blum has served as national coordinating counsel for consumer litigation brought under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act for Experian, one of the three national credit reporting agencies in the United States. In that role she has overseen litigation matters filed in all 50 states as well as the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. She is an active member of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers Orange County and the Orange County Bar Association.
Blum’s arrival builds on Goodwin’s recent launch of its Orange County office, which was anchored by the addition of cybersecurity, privacy, and technology litigators Richard Grabowski, John Vogt, and Ryan Ball.
