Simpson Thacher & Bartlett Adds Energy and Infrastructure M&A Partner in London
"David McKendrick joins Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in London as a Partner in the Energy and Infrastructure Practice, working on infrastructure M&A and advising sponsors, investors and corporates."
David advises sponsors, infrastructure investors and corporates on complex transactions across transport, energy and digital infrastructure. His experience spans private practice and in‑house roles; he served as Senior Legal Counsel at logistics company Maersk and completed a secondment with energy and commodities company Vitol. He joins Simpson Thacher from another international law firm and will practice in the Firm’s Energy and Infrastructure group, working on infrastructure M&A and related matters.
David’s move follows the hire of energy transition Partner Eleanor Milne, who joined the Firm’s London office in September 2025, and M&A Partner Nick Appleton, who joined in January 2026.
