PedersoliGattai strengthens special situations and financial restructuring practice with partner Giacomo Colombo

Colombo joins PedersoliGattai from Molinari, where he served as a salary partner since 2017. He previously worked at Chiomenti and at Studio Legale Giovanardi e Associati. During his career he has developed solid experience in insolvency and restructuring, assisting banks, funds and companies in significant distressed operations, and has specific expertise in restructuring acquisition finance transactions.
The appointment is the second lateral hire since the firm’s founding in 2024 and brings the partnership to 61 partners among more than 380 professionals across Milan, Turin and Rome. Managing partner Bruno Gattai said the appointment fits the firm’s growth strategy in key areas, highlighting a selective approach to lateral hires and the value of Colombo’s profile. Partners Gaetano Carrello and Lorenzo Vernetti noted the reinforcement responds to a sector expected to grow given macroeconomic dynamics and the needs of a client base composed mainly of financial and institutional investors.
