Dentons adds power lawyer Kristyn Annis as partner in Toronto Corporate and Energy groups
"Dentons has hired power lawyer Kristyn Annis as a partner in its Toronto Corporate and Energy groups to work on power and utilities, commercial transactions, M&A and carbon and environmental markets."
Her practice focuses on commercial transactions and mergers and acquisitions in the energy market. Drawing on more than two decades of experience, she advises utilities, project developers, lenders, municipal shareholders and government entities on renewable generation, electricity transmission and distribution, and emerging energy technologies, including electric vehicles, distributed energy resources, energy management solutions and all forms of energy storage.
She advises project developers, utilities and investors on transactions in carbon and environmental markets, including emissions allowances, carbon offsets, renewable energy certificates and other environmental attributes generated under federal and provincial greenhouse gas regulatory regimes. Kristyn has also advised senior government leaders on energy policy, emissions trading and climate change; that experience informs her work with clients navigating regulatory and ESG considerations.
Kristyn joins Dentons as a partner in the Corporate and Energy groups in Toronto.
