VPBG Advogados announces new partners

"VPBG Advogados appoints Carlos Eduardo de Biasi to its Tax Advisory practice and Vitor Luís Pereira Jorge to its Antitrust and Compliance practice as partners."

Carlos Eduardo de Biasi and Vitor Luís Pereira Jorge have joined Vella Pugliese Buosi e Guidoni Advogados (VPBG Advogados) as partners.

Carlos Eduardo de Biasi brings more than 20 years of experience advising Brazilian clients and multinational groups on complex domestic and international tax matters of high strategic relevance. His career includes roles at one of the Big Four auditing firms, prominent law firms, and legal departments of multinational companies, giving him a multidisciplinary perspective in the analysis of M&A transactions, succession planning, treaties, transfer pricing, and Pillar 2. He has a strong presence in the technology and digital assets sector and is recognized as one of the pioneers in cryptoasset taxation, advising exchanges and fintechs. He also participates in initiatives related to Brazil’s consumption and income tax reform. De Biasi will join Antonio Carlos Guidoni Filho as a partner in the Tax Advisory practice.

Vitor Luís Pereira Jorge has more than 17 years of national and international experience and is a specialist in Antitrust and Compliance Law. He has extensive experience handling corporate investigations, developing and enhancing integrity programs, representing clients in merger review cases and administrative proceedings before CADE, conducting M&A audits, and providing strategic consulting. Recognized by Legal 500, he holds a law degree from the State University of Rio de Janeiro and an LL.M. from the University of Chicago. He is a member of the Compliance and Antitrust Law committees at OAB-RJ and IBRAC and is certified by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics. Jorge is co-leader of the Antitrust practice in the Latin America and Caribbean region as part of VPBG’s strategic alliance with Dentons, and his role will support the growth and development of the practice in the Brazilian market and across the region.
