Akerman Adds Partner Luke Murley to Wilmington Bankruptcy and Reorganization Practice
"Akerman has hired Lucian "Luke" Murley as a partner in its Bankruptcy and Reorganization Practice Group in Wilmington. He will work in bankruptcy and restructuring matters."
Murley brings extensive experience representing companies and individuals in corporate restructurings and distressed acquisitions. He counsels creditors in Chapter 11 proceedings, represents official committees and fiduciaries in large Chapter 11 cases, and advises middle‑market and privately held companies on restructuring matters nationwide. Murley serves as a court‑approved mediator for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, is a member of the court’s Local Rules Committee, and is active in the American Bankruptcy Institute and various advisory boards. He was previously recognized by Chambers USA in Delaware for Bankruptcy/Restructuring and is listed in Best Lawyers for Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law and Bankruptcy Litigation.
The firm also noted the recent arrival of Amanda Pooler in Charlotte, whose practice focuses on high‑stakes corporate governance matters and M&A disputes venued in Delaware’s Court of Chancery.
Akerman further highlighted recently joined Wilmington litigation partner Tammy Mercer as part of the firm’s continued expansion of its Delaware dispute capabilities.
