Greenberg Traurig Adds Ashley Keenan to Energy Group in Boston
"Greenberg Traurig has hired Ashley Keenan as of counsel in its Energy & Natural Resources Practice in Boston to work on renewable and conventional energy, project finance, and infrastructure transactions."
Keenan focuses her practice on renewable energy, conventional energy, and infrastructure development. She represents developers, lenders, equity investors, sponsors, and utilities in project development, project finance, and corporate transactions related to electrical generation, energy technology development, and infrastructure projects. She works with companies across the energy and banking sectors, handling mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and debt and equity financings.
Keenan’s project finance work includes structuring and negotiating financing arrangements for wind, solar, storage, and other renewable and conventional energy facilities. Her transactional practice encompasses drafting and negotiating power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements, and construction contracts, as well as advising on regulatory compliance and federal and state permitting processes for energy projects.
In corporate matters she represents buyers, sellers, and investors in acquisitions and divestitures of energy assets and companies, structures joint ventures between developers and investors, negotiates equity investments in renewable energy projects, and advises on corporate reorganizations. Her finance practice includes representing borrowers and lenders in secured and unsecured credit facilities, project financings, and capital markets transactions.
Keenan joins Greenberg Traurig as of counsel. She earned her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School and a B.S., cum laude, in business administration from Suffolk University. David J. Dykeman and Terence P. McCourt, co-managing shareholders of Greenberg Traurig’s Boston office, said Ashley’s experience advising developers, lenders, and investors on sophisticated energy transactions and infrastructure projects strengthens the firm’s ability to support clients across the evolving energy industry and welcomed her to the firm.
