Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati Welcomes Benjamin P. Edwards as Senior Of Counsel in Corporate Governance Practice

Edwards joins the firm from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), where he serves as Associate Dean for Faculty Research and Development and Professor of Law at the William S. Boyd School of Law. He brings deep experience in corporate governance and Nevada corporate law and will support the firm’s work for Nevada‑incorporated companies.
Before entering academia, Edwards practiced at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York, representing clients in complex civil litigation, including securities class actions arising from the Madoff Ponzi scheme and matters related to the 2008 financial crisis. Earlier in his career, he clerked for the Honorable Samuel H. Mays, Jr. at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. He holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School and a B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina Honors College.
