Sidley Adds Tax Partner Greg Featherman in New York

Mr. Featherman advises clients on the U.S. tax aspects of complex domestic and cross-border transactions, with a practice focused on transactional tax planning across corporate and financial matters including mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs and other divisive transactions, internal restructurings, financings, joint ventures, and strategic business formations. He represents public and private companies, private equity sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, foreign pension funds, and financial institutions in acquisitions and dispositions, debt and equity investments, and other transformative transactions, and spends considerable time advising foreign funds on investments in U.S. companies. He was previously a Tax partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in New York and earlier spent ten years at KPMG LLP.
