Marek advises emerging and high-growth companies on foundational inbound IP grants and rights, strategic collaborations and joint development arrangements, and bet-the-company IPR conveyances. She also represents investors in venture financings and exits. Her practice focuses on clients at the intersection of life sciences and technology, and she has deep experience across pharmaceuticals, healthtech, software, hardware, e-commerce, internet and media.
Marek joins Orrick from Gunderson Dettmer, where she served as Co-Chair of the Strategic Licensing & Transactions Group. Her hire follows Orrick’s additions this year of Agatha Kluk and former USPTO Solicitor Farheena Rasheed.
