Nixon Peabody welcomes six counsel across Corporate, Litigation and Real Estate teams

Corporate (Employee Benefits, Technology and Private Clients) — Kelly Hathorn joins Nixon Peabody’s Corporate practice in New York City as counsel and is a member of the firm’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation team. She advises on compliance aspects of qualified and non‑qualified benefit plans, executive compensation and equity incentive plans, and health and welfare arrangements, and counsels on benefits‑related aspects of corporate transactions. Kelly holds a JD from the University of Connecticut School of Law and a BA from College of the Holy Cross.
Troy Lieberman rejoins the firm in Boston as counsel in the Corporate practice. He is an experienced technology lawyer advising on data privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, complex technology and commercial transactions and related litigation. Troy draws on prior senior‑level in‑house experience at a high‑growth text message and AI marketing platform and also serves as outside general counsel to companies. He holds a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and a BA from Colby College.
Susan Robb joins the Private Clients group in Boston as counsel. She has more than 20 years of experience advising high‑net‑worth individuals and families on estate planning, estate and trust administration, and related income tax, business succession and philanthropic goals. Susan earned her JD from Suffolk University Law School and a BA from Hamilton College.
Litigation (Government Investigations & White‑Collar Defense; Construction & Real Estate Litigation) — John Mulcahy joins the Government Investigations & White‑Collar Defense practice in Boston as counsel. He is a trial lawyer with more than 15 years of experience as a federal and state prosecutor handling high‑stakes matters including tax, public corruption, money laundering, extortion, obstruction and bribery, and has tried more than 40 civil and criminal cases.
Dawn Valentine rejoins Nixon Peabody in San Francisco as counsel in the Construction & Real Estate Litigation practice. She is a litigator with more than 20 years of experience representing clients in complex commercial disputes, including construction and real estate development matters, and advises on pre‑dispute evaluations and all facets of litigation through the appellate level.
Project Finance, Infrastructure & Real Estate (Affordable Housing & Real Estate) — Sandra Buchko joins the Affordable Housing & Real Estate practice in Washington, DC as counsel. She has more than 20 years of experience representing landlords, tenants, developers, embassies, hotels, not‑for‑profits and REITs in retail, office, hospitality and multifamily transactions. Sandy also brings 13 years of in‑house experience as a regional retail leasing director and handles leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, financing and related corporate matters. She earned a JD from Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law and a BA from the University of Virginia.
