Ceca Magán appoints Carlos Gutiérrez as partner in Litigation and Arbitration

"Ceca Magán appoints Carlos Gutiérrez as partner in its Litigation and Arbitration practice in Madrid. He joins from Siemens Gamesa and will work in civil and commercial litigation, arbitration and ADR."

Carlos Gutiérrez has joined Ceca Magán Abogados as a partner in the firm’s Litigation and Arbitration practice at its Madrid office.

Gutiérrez has more than 25 years of experience advising multinational companies in sectors including real estate, services, industrial and energy. He holds a law degree from the University of Alcalá (CEU Luis Vives) and has been involved in proceedings of high technical complexity and significant economic impact, leading procedural strategies before the ordinary courts and in commercial arbitrations.

A specialist in civil and commercial litigation—particularly corporate and contractual matters, directors’ liability and corporate claims—he also has notable experience in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. He is an arbitrator and mediator and brings a comprehensive approach to the prevention and strategic management of disputes, prioritising efficient solutions aligned with clients’ business objectives.

Gutiérrez joins Ceca Magán from Siemens Gamesa, where he served as capital markets and trade finance lead counsel, and previously as senior counsel and head of litigation.

His profile combines professional practice with an academic role: he is a lecturer on the Advanced Specialisation Course (CAE) in Civil and Commercial Litigation at the Legal Practice School of the Complutense University of Madrid and a lecturer on the Master’s in Business Law, Arbitration and ADR at ISDE.

Esteban Ceca, managing partner, commented: “The appointment of Carlos represents a decisive reinforcement of our Litigation and Arbitration practice. His track record, specialisation and strategic vision fully align with our commitment to providing top-tier advice in the most demanding disputes. We continue to bring in highly specialised talent that drives our growth and strengthens our strategic areas.”
