Dechert LLP Adds Cybersecurity, Privacy and AI Partner J.J. Jones in San Francisco
"Dechert LLP has hired J.J. Jones as a partner in its cyber, privacy and AI practice in San Francisco; she joins from Microsoft and will focus on incident response, AI regulatory risk and defensive litigation."
Ms. Jones joins Dechert from Microsoft, where she most recently served as Assistant General Counsel for Cybersecurity. In that role she provided legal guidance to the Global Chief Information Security Officer, security operations and threat intelligence teams on high‑risk cybersecurity and privacy incidents, supported enterprise‑wide cybersecurity initiatives and managed regulatory, privacy and customer trust considerations.
Prior to her role at Microsoft, Ms. Jones litigated high‑stakes matters in private practice, served as an in‑house strategy counsel and advisor at Google, and was an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland. At Dechert she will practice as a partner focusing on cybersecurity, incident response and AI regulatory risk management counseling, as well as defensive litigation matters.
